David Bash, very likely announcing a band at IPO
I may be slow, but I do eventually get the message: this was a clear sign that it was time to get David back on my show. I felt a little guilty that he wasn’t getting a full interview, just bits and pieces here and there. So finally, October 26th was the day–the return of David Bash to Twirl Radio!
The IPO, named after famed Chicago band Material Issue’s debut album, has been around since the late 1990s. It’s basically a music festival that travels to about 15 different cities in North America and Europe, and runs for multiple nights in each city. The idea is to bring together a lot of worthy, indie rock and roll bands in a veritable music smorgasbord. David and I talked about the origins of the festival, the current state of music, and even listened to a few tracks off the IPO 2019 compilation. It was a fun chat, and we covered a lot of ground. Get yourself to an IPO near you for some great live music.
