San Francisco Bay Area musician Sean O’Brien returned to the show today! It had been a couple of years since our last in-person visit, and he did not disappoint. He brought along a couple of new albums that he and his band, “Sean O’Brien and His Dirty Hands” have released in this still-young year of 2017–so we heard several of those new songs. He also treated us to a fiery live version of his song “Shadow Sharks”–which was exceptionally (and deservedly) well-received by listeners from California to Australia. Sean got his start back in the early 1980s, where he was connected to the Davis, CA branch of the Paisley Underground scene. Today, he’s on virtually every who’s who list of Bay Area musicians–there’s pretty much one degree of separation (or fewer) to anybody you can think of there.
