Cindy Baker, a former Sacramento radio journalist, paid us a visit on today’s show. Back in May, she and I co-hosted the Access Sacramento Big Day of Giving radio marathon. We found that among our common interests of radio (talking into a microphone for 7 hours kind of cemented that bond) and food, we share a love of music. We both have a soft spot for the music of the 1990s. I knew I had to get her back on the show, so that we could hang out and play some tunes. She dug into her CD collection, and brought along an hour’s worth of music. To my pleasant surprise, she brought a few songs and albums that had been staples of Twirl Radio in the past–songs I really love. And I was exposed to some new songs I’d not heard before. I think we’ll have to do this again!
