Twirl Radio Presents

Welcome to Twirl Radio Presents, a series of occasional live musical events.

Tonight’s show comes to us from the wonderful Shine Cafe. They have a homey, comfortable vibe, and they are huge supporters of the arts. Come on in and have a cuppa!

So here’s the lineup: our headliner is Twirl Radio favorite, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Skip Heller. He will be joined on a couple of songs by legendary Romeo Void leader Debora Iyall. And our opening act is wonderful Sacramento singer-songwriter Larisa Bryski.

Upcoming live Twirl Radio events for October!

Great news–this live concert series we started last month, “Twirl Radio Presents”, looks like it’s got some legs. We had such a fun time at the Tippy Canoe/Melody Walker show in September. And now–another live broadcast from a gig, plus some in-studio appearances are coming up. Make sure you mark your calendars now, because these shows are going to be fun.

Blake Jones and the Trike Shop are a self-described “mad pop” band from Fresno, CA. They are so much fun–with songs about underground gardens in Fresno, and sci-fi theremins–these guys have dazzled crowds from Fresno to Liverpool. And they’re going to be joining me in-studio on Saturday, October 15th. www.blakejonesmusic.com

Skip Heller is a veteran of several music scenes. I wouldn’t be doing him justice if I told you that he makes some of the finest, most honest, straight-up country music out there today. And I’d absolutely be understating things if I told you that his swingin’ little trio plies the waters of Americana, rockabilly, and even jazz. This accomplished Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/guitarist is going to be making a rare Sacramento appearance on Saturday, October 29th on Twirl Radio, and later at Shine, and we’ll be broadcasting the whole thing live. And stay tuned–there’s going to be a very special celebrity guest appearance during his set! www.skipheller.com
